Default Switching to another Couples Resort after booking

Have any of you booked a Couples resort then decided to switch to another Couples resort. Is this possible? Thanks

    Welcome to Couples,

I have never heard of anyone doing this after they have arrived at the resort. For one thing, Couples would need to have an open room at the resort you would like to transfer to.

However, there s such a thing as, it is called a Split Stay. You would book a stay at one resort then book a second stay at any other Couples resort with no gaps in the days. I personally would only recommend doing this if you are staying for more than a week. This is only because you are going to waste the better part of a day packing up your things, transferring to the other resort, then getting settled in at your new room. If this transfer is between Ocho Rios and Negril this would also include a 3 1/2 hour bus ride. If you are doing a Split Stay make certain you mention this at the front desk when you check in at the first resort. Couples will provide transportation between the resorts at no extra charge. Just remember to tip your driver as they are not Couples employees.

Couples also includes a Trading Places program. Just register with their Romance Rewards program to be eligible. With this type of stay you can go to the other Couples resort located in the same city. Visiting days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am-4pm and include food, drink and property activities. Space is limited. You must sign up at Guest Services near the main lobby to be able to go.

We have done the Trading Places program before. A good way to check out the other Couples resort for a future trip. Bring everything you need with you in a beach bag. We will usually dress in our normal beach attire. As long as you wear a shirt or coverup over your swimsuit and have something on your feet you can use any restaurant that will be open while you are there.

    Enjoy your stay in paradise

I have done so unintentionally. Due to the pandemic the resort originally booked they decided to close during the off peak season. So it was either postpone the whole trip or move to one of the other open resorts. Even if that's not the case in your situation they will gladly change your reservation to a different resort if need be. You just need to call and they will add the price difference to your balance. Hope this helps.

We've never personally done it- but im certain it can be done. Couples will do just about anything to make clients happy, particularly this environment.

Couples is rather accommodating, particularly if the change is related to COVID issues. We had booked CSA for fall 2020, but when all Jamaica travel for spring 2020 was cancelled (thus our April CN trip), they let us switch our fall CSA to CN. Then they closed CN in fall 2020 due to low occupancy, and we switched back to CSA. With all of the back and forth, we may have even saved a couple of dollars.

Thanks to all. We decided to go back to our beloved Couples Negril and they were very accommodating.
