    Hi all!
Hope to see some of you this coming December. This will be our first trip to San Souci. We have stayed at Couples Negril several times and Swept Away once. What is a must-do in Ocho Rios? Also, l am a wine person. Any particular favorites. Can you buy wine or are the house wines good? Is there a gift shop? Thanks in advance.

We are planning a split with CSS (12/29-1/3) and CN (1/3-1/8). Been to CSA=7 times and CN=3 times. All said this will be our 14th trip to Jamaica and 1st time back to Ocho Rios since our first trip many years ago. Heard great things about CSS from Lee and his wife, CN staff, and other guests we met at CN. So we figured why not.

Update, we have decided to skip the split stay and remain solely at CSS (12/29-1/8)! One love, Irie.

Our first Couples trip was CSS in 2018 and we loved it. We stayed in D block on the hill near the balloon bar/terrace and not too far from lobby. Beautiful tropical ocean view of palms and tip of mineral pool umbrellas from up high. The walk down through the beautiful landscaping was wonderful each day. There is also a side road path for a shorter trip down to beach level. The wine tasting was was very interesting and was held outside on the terrace by the balloon bar were I enjoyed wine after the tasting. The wine was ok, but the setting is FANTASTIC! Make a note to enjoy the mineral pool and to locate the hidden Hot Tub up the small set of stairs beside the mineral pool beside the Veggie Bar ( if open - some said it wasnít a few months ago). Also go by the natural spring Grotto and stick you feet in, there were tiny fish in there when we were there. Go down to Sunset Beach even if you go after 5:00 pm to enjoy the sunset. So much more there, we even walked by the ice carving shed (which isnít something open to guests) and saw artist carving the sculptures) on the way back to our room to get ready for the evening dinner party on the lawn. We still didnít have time to do everything in 6 days are CSS and hope to go back in 2022. We have been to Couples Negril also and the clear warm water cannot be beat there. ENJOY your trip and I hope to see your review.
Gift shop: the gift shops are small, the one at Negril didnít even sell sunscreen when we were there in 2019. Donít think wine was for sale in gift shops. Enjoy the relaxed beautiful tropical views at CSS and donít spend all of you days on the beach level.

Thanks so much for your reply. We are thinking about doing the private dinner on the beach. After this year of quarantine we are looking forward to our Jamaican trip. We havenít been to Jamaica for 8 years. We really enjoyed Couples Negril. Have also stayed at CSA but we liked CN better. Since we are older we decided to do a more laid-back vacation. Canít wait dor December but donít want to wish our life away. I have always enjoyed the piano bar. Did you go? Wish you were going in December 2021.🥰
