    Default Room Types/Blocks CSS

We are getting ready to lock into a trip to CSS next December. We'd like a really awesome view from our balcony. Understanding the layout of the resort, walking isn't a problem for us. Which blocks are closer to Sunset Beach? Any recommendations/advice would be appreciated!
    Thanks

A/B blocks are closest to SSB - those are "One Bedroom Beachfront Suite" rooms - these are also the most recently upgraded rooms so many people consider them the nicest. However - the view from these rooms is mostly of the main lawn with the main beach/ocean off in the distance - many people still like these views but you'll want to be on the 3rd floor to get the best view.

The best views in the resort are in G Block and the penthouse suites - they have long distance views of the ocean - however, G Block is quite a long walk - including many, many steps so it's not for everyone. These rooms have also not been renovated lately so while you have an amazing balcony and view, you have a tub shower...

The middle ground is D Block - that's the building that overlooks the main beach in all the pictures - most of these rooms have pretty good views (some do not) and it's close to everything. They also have been upgraded more recently (not as recent as A/B block) - so they do have nice, 2 person bathroom showers.

E/F block are nice too - some of the rooms have fabulous views as well and the walk isn't quite as bad as G block - this is also where a lot of the cheaper rooms (Ocean Verandah) are located.

A & B blocks are closest to Sunset Beach but G block (which is farthest away from SSB) has the best views in my opinion.

A is the closest to SSB, with each letter getting further away. E - G have bigger balconies - especially if you do a penthouse room - so have a wider view of the ocean. A & B do have fewer trees & are closer to the water. We prefer the view from the cliff, so usually stay in E or G & plan our day so we don't have to trek back from SSB till the end of the day.

The buildings run A-H. A Block is the closest SSB and H-Hibiscus Suite is the farthest. A & B Blocks are basically at sea level and then C-G proceed up the cliffs basically with each successive letter being higher above sea level.

Personal preference will dictate where you want to be. My personal preference is in G Block which is the furthest building from SSB but I think has spectacular views. No views of the beach but great views through the trees out to sea.

It is hard to go wrong excluding your personal preferences.

    Enjoy your stay.

In June hubby and I stayed in Block D and requested and received first floor. The front door was ground level and the balcony overlooked the hill with beautiful palms, flowers, and greenery and a tiny view of the beach and water. The tropical plant view from the large windows in the large shower were like taking a shower in a rain forest. (There are roll shades on the shower window but we didnít use them). Guests on the third floor of this building D had a beautiful view of the Sea. We used the side road most of the time instead of the stairs, to go straight down to Sunset beach. We had only a few stairs to the balloon bar to grab ice or a drink when we wanted it instead of waiting for service. Also the lobby, mineral pool, hidden jacuzzi and Casanova restaurant where only a few steps away. I loved the walk and the quiet of our room, especially on Tuesday and Friday nights after the events on the lawn/beach level. Buildings A and B are closest to Sunset Beach. Iím sure someone who stayed there will fill you in. I think every room has its advantages and you canít go wrong.
    Enjoy !

    Here's a map of CSS:
As you can see, A & B blocks are closest to the beach. We have to agree with others who've already posted, views from G-block balconies are awesome!!
    Enjoy your visit to CSS!!

Only A or B block for us. A and B block have an unobstructed view of the beach and water. Some of the rooms up top would have an obstructed view or no view and if you go in the High season (late December-March) there is a good chance your view will be compromised.

A and B block is closer to everything, main beach, restaurants, activities, Sunset Beach......

And the rooms are the most recently renovated.

So, it is an easy choice for us.
