How soon do we need to book our excursions?

Welcome to Couples.

We wait until we are at the resort to book our excursions. Here's why we do this.

Shortly after we arrive on the resort and get to our room we will look over the Weekly Activities schedule found in the Resort Welcome folder. You will find this Welcome folder in your room. This will give you an idea about what is happening on the resort during the week.

After looking over the Welcome folder we will stop by the Guest Relations desk and make our reservations for any special restaurants we like. While we are there we will also book our trip on the Catamaran cruise. This is included wit all resorts except CSS. You must have a boarding pass for the Catamaran cruise.

Next we will make our way to the Water Sports shack on the beach. One of our favorite activities is snorkeling. Space is limited so you must be on a signup sheet but you can go as often as you like. Couples supplies the snorkeling gear. It is decent quality and you won't need to bring your own unless you have some exceptionally good gear or need either an exceptionally large or exceptionally small size. Each resort will have some sort of bulletin board that will have a list of the daily activities on the resort. This bulletin board is updated at least once a day and more often if needed. Usually updated later in the evening. Make it a point to look at this bulletin board at least once a day. It is usually located near the main dining facility.

Each resort will have a tour desk. We will stop by and grab some brochures for any excursions that may interest us and bring them back to our room to look them over. Usually by the next morning we have will have decided if we would like to do any excursions. We will go back to the Tour Desk and book our excursions. The tour desk will accept most major credit cards.

There have been times when we went to Couples and didn't take any off resort excursions. There is plenty to keep you occupied on the resort including lounging on the beach and letting the sand gravity kick in.

Doing things this way we are less likely to miss anything because of a scheduling conflict.
