Default CSS or CTI for a group?

CSS or CTI for a group?

Possibly 3 or 4 couples going to Couples. Which resort would be better? CSS or CTI?

Cti has a catamaran cruise and css doesn't

None please, there have been a few groups at CSS this week and it has ruined the experience. The answer is in the name COUPLES!

I would recommend CTI. It's more compact and easier to find each other. Not a fan of groups though.

CSS is more spread out for some quiet moments and the grounds are lovely

CSS - it is the better resort for groups. Have seen many groups there having fun. CTI is a more relaxed and low key. So, would go to CSS - we enjoy relaxing at CTI.

I would say you are better off at CTI.
It is a more modern facility and would cater better to groups.

CSS is not setup for groups!
The chairs and tables are bolted down. You won't be able to move them together. Only tables for 1-2 "couples"
No places to hang a group banner. (All the trees are trimmed high up)
They don't have "takeover" nights like at other resorts.
No outlets to plug in your own music at the pool... plus they use 325v outlets there anyway
They shut the lights off throughout the resort after 10pm

I love this thread! Back and fourth, back and fourth. I think the bottom line is..... Other guests frown upon large groups

Neither, for a group I would recommend Grouples Resort, I think they have many resorts west of Couples and many that are much closer to MBJ so the transfer time would be less too.

The OP is talking about 3-4 couples. Not a wedding party of 20. I wouldn't consider 6-8 people a large group. I've been to the CTI and CSS when there were several couples traveling together. They weren't exactly hanging banners and having a 'takeover' night as was childishly mentioned in another response. They were merely enjoying a relaxing vacation with some friends.

this thread will play out like this. do i enjoy css? then your group will like cti more. do i enjoy cti? then your group will enjoy css more.

Geez people....3 or 4 couples is hardly a large group coming to take over the resort. The snotty comments are pretty hypocritical considering that many of the repeaters on this board plan on meeting up with the same group of couples year after year. So how about we try to keep the "holier than thou" attitudes to ourselves.

Obviously, you (and they) must know i'm kidding!! Surely you don't think that CSS really bolts down the tables, and trims the trees up high, do you?
When I return, I promise not to talk to more than 2 couples repeaters at a time., since I now appear to be the childish snotty hypocritical one.

Have to agree with Jamican_Junkie on this one. We always like to meet up with other repeaters, not sure how what the OP is asking is any different than that.

We haven't been to CTI so I cannot answer the OP's question comparing the two resorts. It appears CTI has more restaurant choices but if you are into AN activities, SSB is difficult to top. Decide what factors are most important to the people traveling and then decide based on that.

Sorry... I didn't mean your comment. Being a smart-ass myself, I can spot sarcasm a mile away.

Moving forward, you will be known as the childish snotty sarcastic one.

That's cool, I can live with that... Lol
All kidding aside, we return every year with many repeaters that some would collectively consider a large group. Just like many others do the other 11 1/2 months of the year, we all meet up every year and plan for the next year.
Sometimes, "groups" if you will, do take over control of a resort, water park, movie theatre, amusement park, etc..... And ruin the vibe of the place.
We are all family when we go home to Jamaica. As long as we try to be respectful of others, it's all good.
