    Default Request for upper room

    Welcome Carrie
Our travel agent said they could not guarantee an upper Garden Veranda Suite but put in the request in the notes.
Is there any way to guarantee an upper GVS. We arrive on 2-15-15.

There are never any guarantees in life, so as is the case with trying to guarantee yourself a certain room or even a certain level in a specific building.

You can certainly ask, but don't base your entire vacation on getting that particular room or floor when you arrive. Sometimes it's just not possible.

The first time we went to CSS, we stayed in G-block, and absolutely fell in love with the room that we were given. It had everything we wanted and more.

The second visit, we asked if it was available, but unfortunately it was already in use. We were given a different room in G-block, and much to our surprise, this room ended up being better than the one we wanted in the first place. The point being that sometimes you don't get what you want, and sometimes the alternative ends up being more then what you wanted in the first place.

Also, be cognizant of the fact that the staff at the resort will do everything in their power to make you happy. If that means you have to spend a night or two in a room that is less desirable, so that you can be moved to one that is more of your liking, then so be it. Make the best of what you have, and don't let one little thing ruin your entire week. Many people will say don't worry about the room, you won't spend that much time in it anyways, but that's not us. We enjoy spending time in the room, on the balcony etc, so we totally understand what it's like to not get the room you really want.

The last thing they want is for you to spend the week at the resort, and be unhappy the entire time. If they have the rooms available a day or two later, they'll usually let you take a quick tour while Housekeeping is flipping the room so that you can see if you actually do want to move.

    Hi Jockey,

If you could email me at carrie@couples.com with your full name, I can have the Customer Service Manager make an additional note as well.

    Thanks

Tommywommy, thanks for the insight... it is certainly tough to make and keep everyone happy, which is why we can't make any room guarantees (to reiterate)

    Hi Carrie,
We asked our travel agent to ask for an upper floor GVS in a quieter area for privacy to celebrate our 20th anniversary starting on 1/23 at CSA. Our reservation paperwork isn't showing that a request was even made. We understand that these are just requests, but we're afraid that it wasn't even asked for. Thanks! See you next month
