    Default Is Couples for us?

My fiance and I want an AI resort, preferable with no kids. CSA is on my radar. My biggest hesitation is the nature of the AI adult resort. We don't want lots of silly games and mixers with other newlyweds like you see at the S resorts. We are very social and would like to meet other couples, but the forced, cruise ship honeymoon is not our cup of tea. We'd like to meet people at the bar or over dinner or at the pool, not being shuttled around like cattle like I'm afraid could happen. Should I look elsewhere or will Couples give us the option to do our own thing without feeling like outcasts because we didn't want to participate in the dance off on the lido deck? Thank you!

Couples has a wonderful balance. You want to met others you can, you want to be alone with your love you can. No pressure from anyone to do either.

At any of the four Couples resorts, you can do as much as you want or as little as you want. It's true that the staff may approach you to ask if you want to participate in some activity. A polite "no thank you" and they will leave you alone. No one is ever made to feel as though they are poor sports for not joining in. It's very easy to meet people on the beach, at meal times or anywhere on the resort. At Couples, it's all about treating every couples as though you are family. No pressure.

I assume that you you do want to have the option of going to the nude beach area, because CSA does not have any such facility. It's the only one of the four resorts that does not have such an area.

The rest of the time you can be on your own to do whatever you would like. There are no kids at any of the Couples resorts.

The truth is that you can't go wrong no matter which place you wind up at.

    Welcome to the Couples family.

From the description of what you are looking for in a resort, Couples, either one of the four of them, is EXACTLY where you should be going. There are many places around the resorts to meet new friends, and you will not be forced into the "faux fun and games".

Couples is perfect for you! Can't attest for CSA, but CTI and CSS are really hands off. The beaches are quiet at both, and they both have separate pools away from the swim up bar, so you can totally relax. I imagine its the same at CSA though as they have three separate pools and a very long beach.

Welcome to the fabulous message board and hopefully the Couples Family

One of the greatest perks of many at any of the Couples Resorts is you can do whatever you want - such as be alone with your love, participate in wonderful conversations and meet great people (make friends for life) - they stand for romance and one love! We know because we have been to all 4 resorts over the years and our first trip was to CTI (then COR) in 1980 for our honeymoon and only gets better every trip. Leaving tomorrow for CTI (home away from home).

As the Jamaican's say "No problem - Mon" and there are no pressures.

Enjoy and hope you become a part of a wonderful vacation and maybe spend your wedding/honeymoon there also!

No worries about the cruise ship stuff! That is not the case at all. There are some activities, but you have to show up, willing, at the designated spot if you want to participate. Nor do you have to sit with other guests at meals. You will always get your own table unless you show up with another couple. We were total loners our first time and no one bothered us nor did we feel like outcasts - ever. That said, it is easy to meet other couples and be social when you want.

If you are looking for a laid back, romantic honeymoon on perhaps the best beach on earth, CSA is for you!

I know exactly how you feel. My hubby and I like to be social and interact with other couples, but at the same time we also want our alone time. When we visited CN in 2010, I never felt pressured in any way to play games or sit with other couples at dinner. Its the kind of place where you can have your alone time and also socialize with other couples and play games if you'd like. We will be making our second trip to Couples this May and this time we're going to try CSA. Which I'm sure will be just like CN in that perspective. So, in my opinion, you should definitely try CSA...I don't think you'll be disappointed!

None of the Couples Resorts are like what you say you don't want. They have an activity schedule, but they don't go trolling around the resort to get people interested and they don't pressure you to do anything. You will LOVE CSA! After leaving there for a 10th anniversary trip, I couldn't get it out of my mind and I still think of that place every day and it's been 3 years! The beach is the most beautiful I have ever seen....fine white sand and crystal clear blue water...and it's endless. You can take a left and walk down the beach and get a real feel for the local flavor, plus Margaritaville is down there too if like touristy stuff.

CSA is super romantic, has great bar and restaurant choices, the best sports facility on the island, and the prettiest beach. The rooms are classic Caribbean with lots of wood and white linen. The resort is laid back and chill. You can be as active as you want, or just lay on the beach and have people bring you drinks all day. Trust me, you'll love it. CSA ROCKS!!!! I dream about going back in 2013.

Couples will not push you into anything. They will invite you to join if you are around the pool, but if you say no thank you then it is over. The resorts are social with people of all ages. So you can be as social or as laid back as you want. You can do what you like when you like. No cattle hearding here. :0)

You have found exactly what you are looking for. At CSA you can be a social as you care to be or spend all your time together just the two of you and no one will judge you either way. Spend you time your way. Couples caters to couples looking for a romantic getaway with no pushy mixers or events. Really, what you describe is exactly what you will find at CSA.

    Have a great trip!

Couples is not like that. REALLY! I've been asked if I wanted to play volleyball and that's it. Couples really is different. Give it a try and I think you will have an awesome time. We're saving for trip #5 to Swept Away so it must be good.

Yep, Couples is for you. Its easy to meet other people and in my two trips to Couples I have never once been pressured to join in on an activity. Couples provides a schedule and if you want to go you go and if you dont then you dont.

We tend to spend the days on our own (together) & socialise in the evening (usually after dinner). It really is thje perfect mix...enjoy (as we will in 13 days time).

If thats the type of vacation you want, then you have come to the right place.
My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at CSS last February. We never felt any pressure to join into, meet up, hang out with anyone. We did what we wanted to do when we wanted to do it. The funny thing is, we met some really great people, from all over the world.
Dinners were as private as we wanted them to be. Its all about the two of you.
We are now repeaters and will be trying CN in 40 days.
